CoovaChilli needs a bridge as Acces Point. With dd-wrt installed on the router this is possible.
In dd-wrt configure the following:

(1) Disable the DHCP Server
Under Setup: Basic Setup
DHCP Server Disable

(2) Set your broadcast SSID
Under Wireless: Basic Settings
Wireless Network Name (SSID) <Your-Hotspot>
Wireless Channel Auto

(3) Optional: Disable the Security Mode
Under Wireless: Wireless Security
Security Mode: Disabled

(4) Disable the firewall
Under Security
Firewall Protection Disable


The physical setup of your router: Plug the Ethernet cable from your Pi into a LAN port on your router (not the WAN/internet port!!!! (We need to Bridge!!!)).
